Summary:
- The Global Event Planner will work with the Global Marketing and Events team within the Natural Resources and Autonomy Sector to assist with the development, implementation, and support of event initiatives in key markets across North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific regions. You will assist in the organization of company events such as tradeshows, conferences and employee meetings.
- Manage logistics and deliverables for trade shows including: securing booth space and meeting space, customer engagement activities, registering attendees for the events, managing housing blocks, producing event plans to ensure successful execution, working with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution, procuring materials and show services, coordinate installation and dismantle, and shipping.
- Work with the global event team on logistics and deliverables for conferences including: hotel branding, speaker coordination and presentation development, exhibitor areas, guest programs, and attendee management.
- Coordinate Natural Resources Autonomy presence at cross-functional tradeshows.
- Work with global marketing and sales teams to establish event goals and metrics and create post-show reports.
- Process event-related invoices and assist in complete financial reconciliation of all shows at close of event.
- Provide on-site management and implementation of trade shows and conferences, or virtual support as necessary.
- Assist in creation and delivery of pre-show and post-show communications with marketing and sales teams.
- Develop staffing plans for all events and manage staff communications.
- Maintain accessible show schedules, project checklist and processes.
- Other responsibilities to support regional marketing activities through events could include media relations, dealer event support, company brand awareness activities, customer testimonials, and lead generation.
- 7 years experience with global trade show and/or conference events.
- Excellent organization skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, and time management skills.
- Passion for event planning
- Ability to collaborate with others but able to work independently on projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
- Proficient time management and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and proactively while meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong focus on execution and results.
- A confident written communicator
- Flexibility to work within different time zones
- Knowledge of marketing communications and graphics helpful.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google Drive.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and globally.
