Description

The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill two (2) regular, full-time positions in the class of Child Support Specialist I-II at the Colusa-Sutter-Yolo Regional Child Support Agency.

Successful candidates will be placed on an eligible list that will be utilized to fill these vacancies as well as future positions as they become available.

Offices are in Yolo, Colusa, and Sutter Counties. Employee may be assigned to Woodland, CA, Colusa, CA, or Yuba City, CA.

The education, experience and other qualifications of the selected candidate will determine the level at which the position will be offered.

Employment Standards

Minimum Qualifications Child Support Specialist I ExperienceOne (1) year of clerical experience in a Child Support Agency;

OR Two (2) years of experience performing investigation, collections, credit, or lending duties. Child Support Specialist II Experience Both Levels

Special RequirementSpanish-speaking skills may be desirable qualifications for some positions.Background RequirementsIncumbents in this class will have access to Federal Tax Information and are subject to confidentiality and safeguarding requirements of Internal Revenue Code 6103(p)(4).

As such, an individual selected for this position is subject to a thorough background investigation as stipulated in Section of Internal Revenue Service Publication 1075, which includes the following :

  • Review of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint results;
  • Check of local law enforcement agencies where the subject has lived, worked and / or attended school within the last five (5) years and, if applicable, of the appropriate agency for any identified arrests; and
  • Verification of an employee's eligibility to work in the United States.

Background investigations are conducted upon hire and every ten (10) years of employment thereafter. LicenseSome positions in this classification may require incumbents to possess and maintain a valid California driver's license, Class C or higher, to carry out job related duties.
