QA Technician

York Street Fresh Foods is looking for a Quality Technician! We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment and add value to our operation.

SUMMARY: Leads Food Safety/QA department on all projects and daily tasks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manages all HACCP/USDA or FDA/SQF Food Safety Guidelines in production

· Responsible for all HACCP documentation for the plant

· Responsible for all direct observation for HACCP monitored tasks and production floor trainings

· Assists in scheduling training for all new/existing employees with Management/HR

· Assists Management/HR in Training for Food Safety Basics for new/existing employees

· Manages the verification of correct nutritional information for all products

· Schedules of all shelf life studies for all menu items

· Verifies all suppliers for raw materials used in production

· Manages all product specification sheets

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

· Basic knowledge and experience working in a HACCP certified production environment

· Trained as a basic HACCP team member

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels

· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

· Acute attention to detail

· Bilingual (English/Spanish), to effectively communicate with all employees

Pay: Up to $17.50 per hour
