We are looking for multiple highly motivated Service Apprentices to join our fast-growing team out of our York, PA Service Branch. Service Apprentices report to the Branch Service Supervisor and Corporate Operations Manager. Service Apprentices must be willing to work long hours and varying shifts with limited to no notice. This position may require travel up to 20%, most deployments are 4 nights or less. This position requires a valid driver's license with no-more than two (2) current moving violations. As an apprentice you will learn the skills necessary to service, install, and inspect crane, hoists, and other material handling equipment. The ideal apprentice candidate is a hands-on learner with previous experience/education in on of the following core areas of focus: electrical, mechanical, or welding.
This position does require out of town travel

Compensation: Base Hourly Rate: $20 - $26 per hour including $2.00 per hour incentive pay, Semi-annual Bonus (based on individual performance and business profitability), and Year End Holiday Bonus.

Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM ( early starts, off shift work, and OT as dictated by the position).
Tasks/Requirements:
- Abide by all company and departmental policies.
- Attend and contribute during weekly department meetings.
- Build and nurture relationships with your clients.
- Communicate with the Project Coordination Department to address scheduling concerns and equipment needs.
- Complete inspections and repairs on units sent to the YorkHoist shop.
- Complete OSHA/MSHA inspections in a thorough and timely manner.
- Complete safety, vendor, and client required training.
- Do whatever it takes to ensure safety and client satisfaction every job, every time.
- Identify and communicate potential prospects and project opportunities.
- Lead installations of varying type of material handling and safety equipment.
- Log time, daily receipts, parts, and safety concerns in the Fulcrum iPad App.
- Manage your aggressive project deadlines while providing quality service.
- Own and influence positive department moral and client first mindset within your team.
- Own jobsite safety ensuring compliance with HCRBrands, OSHA, and client requirements.
- Own your successes and failures.
- Regularly lift, move, or hold items weighing 80lbs. or more.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues (hoists, cranes, lifts, turners, etc.).
- Work at height or in confined spaces for extended periods of time.
- Work with other Service Technicians on large jobs sites.
- Certified crane operator training (a plus)
- Certified electrician (a plus)
- Certified rigger (a plus)
- Hydraulic troubleshooting experience (a plus)
- Mig, Tig, and Stick welding experience (a plus)
- OSHA 30 Hour training (a plus)
- Previous service supervisory experience (a plus)
