Yorktel is currently seeking a Data and Analytics Intern who will work cross functionally with the Operations, Information management and IT departments to assist with analyzing trends, identifying opportunities for improvement in core competency areas such as cost savings or order cycle times, and surface and tracking of critical KPIs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with analyzing and documenting procedures.
- Assist with defining, developing, and implementing methods, tools, KPIs/metrics, and targets based on company objectives.
- Assist with identifying areas of improvement / automation.
- Help Identify problems and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality.
- Coordinate with various teams to analyze business requirements and planning.
- Assist in development of business plans to achieve organization goals.
- Supports senior managers and department heads with in-depth analysis related to various functions of the organization.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, JupyteR, Zoho, Google Charts.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Smartsheet
- A good understanding of relational databases and database engineering concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eagerness to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, while able to work independently.
- Organized, detail-oriented, execution-focused, relentless and willing to find cracks in the system to expose problems.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant program
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
