YOTEL's Senior Sales Manager will handle all group, catering and Guest Room opportunities within a given deployment, from the initial sales call and developing the relationship, to detailing and servicing the group, ensuring client satisfaction. This will include negotiating room rates, meeting space requirements, preparing sales agreements, managing inventory, and creating Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes.

Group Sales Manager Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Attends all mandatory meetings and trainings to include BEO meeting, Group pick-up meetings, and Commercial/Strategy meetings.
- A strong understanding of revenue management skills to include optimizing our mix of hotel business and the use of historical data.
- Experience evaluating every business opportunity to maximize revenue and profitability while achieving customer expectations.
- Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits. Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue.
- Proactively participate in the comprehensive sales and marketing efforts by researching, identifying, targeting, and solidifying new business opportunities.
- Participates in sales related events, receptions, trips, trade shows, client meetings and related events, and networking functions.
- Ensures attrition, food & beverage minimums and meeting room rental charges are met.
- Works closely with Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Mission Control, and Accounting Departments to ensure we deliver on exceeding guest expectations.
- Communicate, demonstrate, and support the company culture, vision, values and branding standards in all aspects of sales and marketing activities
- Create and communicate all BEO’s for YOTEL Boston internal events
- Create and activate an on brand YOTEL site inspection experience
- Conducts tours, presentations and represents YOTEL Boston and assist team as needed
- Partner with the operations team to ensure all group needs are met, encouraging repeat business.
- Collaborate to create promotions for specific accounts and time periods
- Innovative, brainstorming for new ways to uncover and capture business
- Ensures standard contractual agreements are issued and executed in a timely, and error-free manner
- Willingness to learn and adapt with dynamic environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, having conflict solution skills
- Conducts one-self in a professional, pleasant and energetic manner

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Sales Manager Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel sales/events/catering in a management role.
- Must have the ability to solicit, qualify and secure business in addition to growing existing accounts.
- Strong knowledge of catering, as well as executing event orders.
- Business Transient experience or understanding of business preferred
- Understand basic contractual terms as applied to sales agreements
- Self-motivated and able to “think outside the box.”
- Active participation in trade shows, familiarization trips, client entertainment and industry events
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers
- Schedule flexibility and ability to travel
- Excellent presentation, communication, organization and computer skill
- Strong work ethic
- Experience with sales tools such as Cvent, Agency 360, as well as Opera are preferred.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
