This role is in the survey operations department of YouGov's Scientific Research Group (SRG) with headquarters in San Francisco, California. Scientific Research is the US group responsible for technology, academic, health, and public affairs research. We are headquartered in Redwood City, CA with our primary and larger office being in San Francisco. We are composed of approximately 70 employees with half of those employees working remotely. We differentiate ourselves by our sampling methodology and our areas of expertise- Technology, Social Science Research, Public Health.
The survey analyst role includes the following responsibilities:
- Programming surveys using an in-house scripting language based on Python.
- Cleaning survey data and evaluating data quality metrics
- Monitoring surveys in the field
- Evaluating survey instruments for quality control purposes
We are looking for job candidates with the following qualifications:
- Attention to accuracy in fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Excellent computational and analytical skills
- Programming experience (e.g., Python)
- Experience with statistical packages and data management tools (e.g., R, SPSS, SQL)
- Ability to summarize data and manage large datasets
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Results-driven focus and ability to see issues through to completion in a timely manner
- Prior experience or training in survey research is a plus
- Able to excel while working remotely, if applicable
