Description
The Food Service Delivery Driver is responsible for loading/unloading all meals to each site in a timely fashion; maintain overall cleanliness of the van; assist in cleaning the kitchen if time permits, dishes, labeling of warmers/coolers for delivery. May also be asked to pick up product from local grocery stores. The warmers/coolers that need to be loaded on a daily basis may weigh up to 50lbs. This position requires a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
- Properly labels warmers/coolers for delivery to each site
- Assists in placing prepared meals in their proper containers
- Maintains/cleans the van while properly filling out the vehicle check list
- Keep records of the deliveries for each day
- Drives delivery Van to numerous off-sites safely and in a timely fashion
- Efficiently loads and unloads warmers/coolers into the vehicle for delivery
- Communicates in a professional manor with each site coordinator
Performs any other functions deemed to be necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids
COMPENSATION
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour; Non-Exempt; Part Time (up to 25 hours/week)

Requirements
KNOW HOW
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); one to three months of previous delivery driving experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. YMCA experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Michigan driver’s license
