Summary of the Position: Primary responsibility of the Advocate is to provide Intensive In-Home services to families whose children have been removed from their own homes or are at risk from being removed from their homes. Services may be provided in the participant’s home or appropriate community setting. The Advocate will deliver case management and skills-based interventions targeted at increasing the youth’s natural supports and strengths, fostering resilience and recovery. It is expected that the Advocate will carry a caseload of 5-6 families in their assigned geographic area. The Advocate is responsible for accurately documenting services, attending team meetings as needed, and communicating participant progress to supervisors, team members, and the referring authority. All services are delivered in compliance with the Intensive In-Home Services contract, YAP Standards, and all state and federal regulations governing the delivery of service.

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work, psychology, human and child development, counseling, sociology, or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year associated experience.

Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance with bodily injury liability limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident.
