Hours: Varies – Full-time, Part-time/Overnight/On-Call, non-exempt position
Wage: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Job Mission
This position contributes to the mission of Youth Oasis by supporting youth of transitional age in supervised care systems by helping them stay safe and gain access to skills and services needed to thrive. Team leads are responsible for overseeing the youth’s experience from start to finish by monitoring the services offered by Life Skills Specialists, following up with participants about their progress and experience.

Key Responsibilities
Youth Engagement:
o Facilitate a daily, 12 hour activity plan in conjunction with youth and team members o Ensure a safe environment by making routine checks in common spaces and outdoors
o Meet with assigned youth on a weekly basis to review their service plan and monitor progress towards goals
o Maintain accurate, up-to-date information in electronic case files on current and former residents
o Complete timely entries into residential experience guide using our database, as required.
o Provide individualized care, support, and follow-up to help youth access community resources and o achieve case plan goals, including education, employment, conflict resolution, and life skills development.
o Implementation of agency policies and procedures (regularly communicating through oral or written documentation)
o Ability to communicate effectively with familiarity on topics of interest to youth;
o Provide opportunities and encourage youth to participate in healthy activities;
o Engage youth in health related communication and knowledge;
o Coordinate safety planning and crisis response of youth when needed;
o Must be willing to have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the youth and program;
o Be able to teach life skills in an engaging and accommodating manner
o Attend relevant Agency meetings and all other activities identified as necessary;
o Participate in program evaluation efforts;
o Complete minimum 24 hours of professional training and developing each year; and
Oversight and Support:
o Provide supervision and support to Life Skills Specialists
o Perform a minimum of three random site checks of all Youth Oasis residential facilities (includes checking all rooms, bathrooms, and outdoor areas) per week to observe for any program violations and provide support services as needed for emergency after-hours calls;
o Ensure residential facilities are maintained by assessing cleanliness, reporting maintenance needs and ensuring safety codes are adhered to;
o Complete belongings searches as needed, removing prohibited items;
o Participate in intake and orientation of new residents;
o Respond to calls from or about Life Skills Specialists and provide urgent on-site response,
o Provide high-level support to ensure staff and participants safety, mitigate liability, and support responses to emergent situations
o Create and review program required records for accuracy, completeness, and in timely manner
o Review and approve staff time sheets, mileage, and payment requests
o Assist with onboarding new hires by facilitating and following up on their on the job training
o Accurately document relevant staff information and activities
o Manage and review residential and specialists calendars and daily activities
Work Requirements:
o Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to calls for assistance, some weekends and holidays required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
o High school diploma or GED;
o One year experience working directly with youth ages 16-21. Two years of social services education may be substituted for the required experience;
o Must be 21 years of age or older;
Required within first 30 days of employment:
o CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne pathogens certifications required;
o Full understanding of the CPI reporting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other related field;
o Demonstrated experience working with young people in crisis;
o Demonstrated experience working with people experiencing homelessness;
o Demonstrated experience working in the housing field;
o Previous training in Positive Youth Development, Domestic Violence, Youth Mental Health First Aid,
o Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction or Trauma Informed Care.
