The Project Specialist will provide on-site supervision of staff, youth participants, reporting systems, outreach planning, and administrative duties. The PS will report to the Programs Director and/or designee (Site Director and O&P Assistant.)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Develop and cultivate collaborative relationships with community and sector representatives.
  • Scheduling and facilitating meetings with Agendas and Notes
  • Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong experience preparing reports, data collection.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Outstanding oral/written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • MUST be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word, Google Platform, email, computer and technology use (5 ).
  • Meet and take clear and concise notes with Coalition members and supervision staff on a regular basis.
  • Provide meaningful training resources for coalition members, staff, and youth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is PREFERED; AS with 3 years exp; or 5 years exp in youth-serving program management may be considered.

Degrees that can be considered include: social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will have to be evaluated further to determine if they meet the qualifications.

  • Experience working with youth, individuals or families in need of crisis intervention is preferred
  • 2 years of behavioral health & office work.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Must pass background check
  • Experience with community contacts, coordination, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
  • Knowledge of community coalitions and strategic prevention framework a plus

DUTIES:

  • Work closely with on-site and supervisory staff to foster a culture of positivity and excellence
  • Coordinate trainings for personal development and workforce development
  • Navigate and manage tracking systems for youth development
  • Create and manage a database of community partners
  • Oversee Volunteer recruitment, organization and leadership
  • Provide Volunteer training and education
  • Assist with maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
  • Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners.
  • Federal reporting, In-Kind tracking for grant reporting periods (Quarterly, Semi-annual, Annual).
  • Four Core measures compliance and Seven Strategies.
  • Tracking measures for reporting In Kind date reporting.

POSITION TYPE & SCHEDULE:

FTE (20-40 hours/week depending on preference and agreement at time of hiring) Mon-Fri and some Saturdays throughout the year.

*Schedule is flexible around club, youth, community, and coalition meetings. Excellent opportunity for college student interested in nonprofits, social services, youth-serving, etc. May include irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends. Opportunity for advancement.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
