Youth Service Specialist- 6AM-2PM

Youth Shelters and Family Services is seeking for an individual with a desire and enthusiasm to work with our community's youth. This position will be as a Youth Services Specialist at our Youth Emergency Shelter, located in Santa Fe, NM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 15 minutes to 2-hour room checks in YSFS Youth Emergency Shelter.
• Light housekeeping, data entry, and helping the residents/clients with their daily routine to include cooking with the youth in a communal setting and providing necessary transport.
• Provide direct care and supervision of clients in compliance with policies, procedures, contracts and licensing regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a human service field and experience with the target population preferred, or some college and one-year relevant work experience with youth, or a high school diploma and two years relevant work experience with youth preferred.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word.
• Must undergo fingerprinting, criminal records and background check and monthly driving record check. Current CPR and First Aid certificates (will train), driver's license and current auto insurance required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable under agency auto policy to transport clients.
• New hires are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completing the COVID-19 vaccination series including booster.
• Exceptions and considerations are granted in cases of EEOC stipulations for, but not limited to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and as amended (inter alia) by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (Title VII).

Schedule

• Weekends and Holidays are often a required part of this position.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at $17.50/hour
