Job Description

Here at Z we love to support our people to grow and develop and due to internal movement, we are excited to welcome a Lead Developer / Kaiwhakawhanake Matua to the Z whānau.

We use software solutions right across our business – and our development team have an impact on both our internal and external customers. Our Lead Developer / Kaiwhakawhanake Matua will build, develop, enhance, maintain, and support software that delivers value for Z while supporting and mentoring your team and colleagues.

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills as well as leadership experience. You may have managed a team, provided mentorship or taken ownership of pieces of work. You will have the opportunity to

• Create and review solution designs and architecture
• Identify architecturally significant components and ensure strategic alignment with other teams within Z
• Deliver technical components of solutions and provide technical expertise within the development team
• Contribute to using DevSecOps practices and tooling
• Support, mentor and grow our people as well as lead key pieces of work
• Take ownership of initiatives from problem to solution to delivery

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z

• Suitable software development experience with focus on .NET, C#, and Azure related work
• Delivery experience with seeing significant pieces of work into work into production
• Knowledge of both Agile and DevSecOps frameworks
• Experience in solution design and solution architecture
• Leadership capabilities
• A natural problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot across various technology layers
• The ability to take a broad organizational perspective and offer business orientated thought leadership
