Piper Life Sciences is looking to identify a candidate for a Downstream GMP Specialist position in Gaithersburg, MD. The Downstream GMP Specialist will be working hands-on in executing various downstream operations within a well-established contract manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities of the Downstream GMP Specialist:
- Leads all processes and tasks related to downstream manufacturing process including in-process sampling, protein purification, and activation procedures
- Supports and operates TFF (tangential flow filtration), HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), column packing and unpacking, and other chromatography
- Documents and reports all batch manufacturing records (BMR) pertaining to upstream and downstream manufacturing processes in order to ensure it meets cGMP standards
Qualifications of the Downstream GMP Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or another related field required
- 3+ years of experience in downstream manufacturing required
- Strong CDMO background preferred
Compensation for the Downstream GMP Specialist:
- Salary: $70,000 to 95,000
