Our PLM/PPM Analyst follows a hybrid work-from-home model. Our teams are generally in office 3 days per week, with 2 days available to work remotely.The Engineering Applications Analyst is responsible for assisting with the business ownership, administration, subject matter expertise, and support of the Product Lifecycle Management ﴾PLM﴿ software, Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software systems.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate administration and subject matter expertise for engineering application software including the PLM, PPM, and CAD systems. Assist with configuring, testing, updating, and maintaining CAD and PLM systems including customized templates, user guides, and best practices. Work closely with the Engineering Applications Developer to design, build, and manage the PPM system in support of automating business and project operations within the new product development team. Integrate internal platforms within the PPM system. Work closely with users to understand PLM, CAD, and drafting concerns, troubleshoot issues, and propose process improvements to increase user efficiency and experience. Train engineering staff to use software and systems efficiently and effectively. Encourage a strong understanding of engineering file relationships between parts, drawings, solid models, bill of materials ﴾BOM﴿ and the database structures that house them to ensure time efficient use. Act as a liaison between the Engineering and IT departments for any specialized software that is unique to the Company's Engineering department needs. Stay up to date with CAD/CAM and other engineering application software. Test new software releases in the current use environment to ensure usability and lack of downtime. Create, modify, maintain, analyze, and distribute customized reports to multiple audiences for a variety of potential data elements, such as project status, go‐live forecasts, time tracking and actual/forecast revenue. Create and modify custom views and fields as needed within programs. Focus priority on systems that keep the engineers working and the systems their data feeds up and running. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.QualificationsAssociates degree or equivalent and one ﴾1﴿ year of experience with the implementation, management, and scaling of CAD, PLM, or PPM systems is required. Familiarity with supporting CAD/CAM and Solid Modeling software is required. Experience with Solidworks CAD, Agile PLM, and Clarizen PPM systems is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Computer Systems, or Computer Science degree is a plus.Must have strong communications skills, verbal and written. This includes basic knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite. Strong team focus and ability to work with others, both internal and external to the organization.Physical RequirementsOccasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
