Our Finance Senior Manager manages the analysis and governance programs to support, guide and monitor operations expenses and/or cross transformation initiatives across the enterprise. Serves as the driver for reporting solutions and ensuring that financial data is defined and managed to facilitate investment decisions. Provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance regarding the effectiveness of analysis, governance, and internal processes that mitigate current and emerging risks and help optimize the internal controls ecosystem. *We're open to this position working in a remote capacity. Responsibilities Assist in building analysis framework and apparatus for categorical expenses Build and maintain strong business partnerships across the enterprise to optimize Sub-Function Own the governance of assigned Sub-Function Ownership and leadership of assigned sub-function initiatives across the enterprise Partner closely with the business and PMO to ensure work-streams stay on track and deliver value Coordinate communication, planning, analysis and reporting Execute the optimization and processing functions Interprets internal and/or external business issues and recommends best practices Solves complex problems takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions Business Impact Role operates and impacts at the Sub-Function level Impacts through exercising control over resources, providing input into policy formulation and planning Influence and lead other cross-functional team members outside of span of control Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by department objectives Leadership Focus Has responsibility for implementation of the Sub-Function strategy Leads teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity Communications & Influence Establishes collaborative relationships across the business and with external organizations as required by the role Influences perspectives and actions, while providing counsel and insights to peers and leaders within and across the Sub-function Creates alignment, drives collaboration and partnerships across the Sub-Function they are accountable for and more broadly across other Zayo Sub-Functions Communicates complex concepts, anticipates potential objections and influences others to adopt a different point of view May lead functional teams or projects Problem Solving & Decision Making Decisions and actions taken related to products, process improvement, innovative service and operation have cost impact on the Sub-function Leads others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools and judgement it identify innovative solutions Knowledge / Business Acumen (Business / Technical / Industry) Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized area and general knowledge of related areas to apply knowledge of how own area of responsibility integrates with other sub-functions as well as business and commercial expertise to provide input into how Zayo can differentiate itself from competition Anticipates and influences internal/external business. People, industry and environmental factors that have an impact their area of accountability Qualifications Knowledge of the content, intent and application of regulations, policies, standards, operations, and requirements applicable to the business function under designated scope of authority Knowledge of the principles, practices, regulatory requirements and policies applicable to budget administration and resource/expense control Knowledge of the concepts, practices and tools relating to financial analysis and program metrics Ability to understand financial and/or operational reports, analyze data, identify improvement opportunities and implement effective responses Ability to collaboratively redesign work processes to affect labor, supply, and other operational cost reductions while maintaining or improving service and quality of end products Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, interpret requirements and draw valid conclusions Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written communication, and in presentations to leadership/management Ability to understand and implement effective policies, standards and procedures relating to matters under defined scope of responsibility Ability to identify compliance deficiencies and/or systemic weaknesses and implement timely corrective action to forestall or remedy Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations as required by the duties of the position Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level of proficiency Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline 5 years' total experience with a minimum of 2 years' direct FP&A experience Familiarity with financial accounting, modeling and analysis Influencing others or direct leadership experience, preferably working with technologies within the high tech and telecom industries preferred Base pay range: $80,100-$106,800, commensurate with experience.
