THE ROLE/PROJECT
- Recently, We acquired an online marketplace, the leading art, antiques and collectibles marketplace in North America. In welcoming the entire team to the Group, our ability to improve our technology, marketing and operational capability increases, as we now stand at over 350 employees across offices in; London UK, Hamburg Germany, Omaha NE and now New York.
- They have developed a market-leading integrated payments solution that we plan to leverage across our 7 marketplaces globally.
- This will enhance the end-to-end buying experience on our marketplaces while providing more efficiency, safety and protection to auctioneers.
- This significant step forward for both the growth of the company and for the product and service offering for our customers.
- This is a transformational project that will deliver multi-million-dollar incremental revenue.
- The Program Manager will own scope, schedule, resources, ensure the project is phased with milestones and ultimately delivered on time, while hitting ROI and revenue goals.
- The payments solution is expected to be integrated into North American marketplaces within 6-12 months post acquisition (Mar-Oct 22) and UK and DACH regions within 12-15 months post completion (Oct-Dec 22).

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project oversight and management for the Payments Integration Program, working closely with the workstream leads to ensure that all workstreams are resourced effectively, tasked clearly, and executing at pace against an agreed specification and schedule.
- Overall accountability for the technical program delivery and joint responsibility with the workstream leads for successful delivery of each work stream to agreed milestones, dates and quality standards.
- Effective and timely risk, issue and dependency management and communication.
- Effective and timely project status reporting and communication.
- Project budget tracking and reporting.
- Develop and maintain an effective rhythm and routine for the team in terms of agile ceremonies, project meetings and ways of working.
- Lead the project Steerco meetings to communicate project status, risks and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop business requirements, functional requirements and user stories while adhering to design and brand standards.
- Define non-functional requirements in collaboration with the engineering teams.
- Lead effective workshops with stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Create and maintain documentation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 7 years’ experience of project management, including the management of large software development or implementation projects involving multiple workstreams.
- Proven experience in successfully delivering large technical programs involving distributed teams across different time zones.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of iterative agile and waterfall software development methods.
- Sound understanding of modern project management principles.
- Proficient with ALM tools such as Jira and Azure Boards, and documentation tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.
- Ability to produce project management status reports and charts (CFD, burn-down, etc) and identify risks and opportunities.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engage at a technical level with software developers, and at a non-technical level with stakeholders and C-level executives.
- Ability to take part in technical and architectural discussions, providing valuable questioning and insight.
- Recognized project management certification such as Certified Project Manager (CPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMP / PRINCE II.
- Highly collaborative with business stakeholders and technical teams, and able to win hearts and minds.
- Ability to speak and write fluently and idiomatically in English.
