Description:
Zebra Projects, Inc. is hiring for a qualified Permit Coordinator who would like to join our Scottsdale office. The Permit Coordinator should have a min. of 3-years proven experience in an Architectural / Engineering or Construction Firm that works in the Retail / Hospitality markets. The ideal candidate will possess the drive and ability to execute multiple projects at a time and have experience working with city jurisdictions across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain close working relationship with the Project Managers and key Account Leaders within the Firm.
- Create and execute permit strategies that successfully navigate the city's various permit processes
- Develop and maintain client relationships, participate in weekly client calls when needed.
- Perform due diligence / city research to forecast plan review schedules, required deliverables and overall project timelines.
- Identify, communicate, and track what is needed to obtain permit approvals.
- Track and manage 50 projects throughout various phases with clear documentation of what has been done and what needs to happen next.
- Manage the overall Permit Tracker, report on status of plan reviews / permit acquisition and relay information back to the project leaders.
- Manage the plan review and permit process for Minor City Entitlements, Planning & Zoning, Site Plan Reviews, and Design Reviews in addition to standard building reviews.
- Dexterity to prioritize and manage assignments.
- Review incoming consultant documents, collate sets, prepare/track shipments, and follow up on missing items.
- Submit documents using electronic systems, monitor plan review status inside the cities, work the phones, follow-up daily.
- Very strong organization and communication skills required.
- Adept at timely and consistent correspondence by email and phone.
- Build relationships inside jurisdictions and work proactively to move stalled projects forward.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field
- Experience preparing formal submittals to Clients, Landlord, and Government Agencies
- 3 years of full-time experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Experience producing final deliverables and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced knowledge of Smartsheet, MS Office, Bluebeam PDF Editor
- Drive, focus, and follow-up skills are essentials
