Examples of Duties Performed: * Responsible for the overall business and accounting activities of a long-term care nursing center in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and center guidelines. * Maintains accurate patient census information; interprets and analyzes financial data and identifies trends; assists with financial plan preparation. * Communicates with patients, responsible parties, insurance companies, and government agencies regarding the collection of outstanding receivables. * Oversees and directs center’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fund accounts activities for compliance. . Preferred Requirements: To be considered for this opportunity applicants must: * Have Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent degree. * At least two years experience in a business office and demonstrated knowledge of computers, office machines, and various business software applications. * Experience with Medicaid, Medicare and insurance billing and verification. * Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization. * Possess ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. * Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships with patients, family members, staff and fellow department heads.
