Job Description

6 month contract to hire position for a Data Analyst with experience in the identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing. experience gathering requirements. 

100% remote

Day to day:
In support of California’s recent RFP award for medicaid, these roles will be critical for the integration of health plan data for use as Next Best Actions. Specifically, these roles will be meeting with stakeholders both at corporate and the health plan to map full scope and best practices. Daily activities will include discovery sessions, system mapping discussions, testing and postproduction support.
  • Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing of various systems
  • Identify and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes
  • Perform detailed analysis on multiple projects, recommend potential business solutions and ensure successful implementations
  • Identify ways to enhance performance management and operational reports related to new business implementation processes
  • Coordinate with various business units and departments in the development and delivery of training programs
  • Develop, share, incorporate organizational best practices into business applications
  • Diagnose problems and identify opportunities for process redesign and improvement
  • Formulate and update departmental policies and procedures
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the assigned function product to ensure operational performance.
Describe the performance expectations/metrics for this individual and their team:
  • Attendance – this person should be at as many team meetings as possible, show up on time and don’t leave early.
  • Helpfulness – this is not easy to measure and sometimes not easy to see from a leadership point of view. However, will conduct a survey with the team asking who they feel on the team has been the most helpful over the past 3-9 months.
  • Efficiency – need to be able to complete work on time… have a good handle on the limitations of the time and resources available and should be able to prioritize getting things done as efficiently as possible.
  • Initiative – this role requires people who can adapt to change and be proactive. People who ask for help or jump in when they see help is needed.
  • Quality – constantly reviewing the requirements and pre-refining, and planning and helping with test cases and UAT to ensure we have captured everything before promoting to production.
