YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As an Account Executive, you will play a key role ensuring wholesale assortments appropriately reflect the brand image, following the seasonal strategy, and ensuring profitability is maximized. You will drive and manage all business for assigned accounts. This role is based in our New York City Corporate offic

You will be responsible for seasonal showroom presentations in Milan and managing relationships with accounts.

The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

How You Will Contribute

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Senior Management teams at Key Accounts.
  • Collect, analyze, and recap - sales performance (by-style, by-store) and wholesale bookings history (by-category, by-style).
  • Provide context to weekly analysis.
  • Schedule appointments effectively according to selling campaign timeframe and collection availability.
  • Communicate with Brand Excellence team regarding seasonal buys by door/budgeted sales targets.
  • Cultivate new business by prospecting potential accounts and doors.
  • Effectively present the collection to Buyers in showroom.
  • Work effectively with Buyers to sell the collection with strong attention to budget expectations.
  • Ensure budget goals are met; project sales, plan and negotiate order volumes with accounts.
  • Ensure assortments are aligned with “Zegna” image and direction.
  • Accurately and quickly submit orders for processing according to the EZCO Order Processing Guidelines.
  • Monitor advertised styles - submit requests for Samples, designate styles for Priority Production, and follow-up on shipping to make sure that ad styles are delivered in accordance with media drop dates.
  • Collect regular in-season feedback from Retail Excellence team; act on identified areas to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate risk.
  • Summarize strengths/weaknesses of collection using sound, quantitative analysis along with qualitative buyer feedback based on sell-in and appointment dialogue.
  • Provide ongoing, effective communication and interaction with Operations Department to insure a superior level of customer service to our wholesale clients.
  • Consistent analysis of trends for all products classification specific to key doors/territories.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 3-4 years’ experience in wholesale sales (prior work with a major account) or retail buying for a department or specialty store.
  • Possesses a high level analytical and strategic skills.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a strong knowledge of the luxury and fashion industries.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, service-oriented, and deadline-oriented.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and follow-through skills.
  • Multi-tasker, with an ability to support simultaneous projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ensure budget goals are met; project sales, plan and negotiate order volumes with accounts.
  • Existing relationships and understanding of working with US major department stores.
  • The hiring range for this position ranges from $105,000-$120,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
