Position Summary:
The VP, Sales refines business development strategies and manages sales duties for key markets.
"Has minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) by Job Description/Role."
General Duties:
- Responsible for overall growth of self-administered conversions.
- Identifies targeted prospects in key markets and completes in-depth research on their unique business needs and key decision makers.
- Evaluates new markets to determine effective strategies for entering opportunities identified.
- Builds strong and lasting relationships with prospective customers founded on mutual trust and aligned goals.
- Partners with client services team, operations, IT and marketing to create contract-winning proposals for prospective clients.
- Manages timely, accurate, and robust prospect, pipeline, and forecast data.
- Demonstrates a detailed understanding of the company's businesses, objectives, products and services in order to optimize our marketing strategy and tactics.
- Continuously improves processes to adapt to market evolution and company growth.
- Collaborates with the team to ensure contracted work specifications are executed on-time and as agreed.
- Trains and assist team members to develop their skills in sales, marketing, presentation skills and external communications.
- Supports the mission, vision and values of the company and the team through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or other related field.
- Twelve years of experience in a client facing Sales role responsible for acquiring new clients.
- Existing relationships in and familiarity of labor/Taft-Hartley benefits
- Subject matter expert of TPA industry
- Historical success in B2B sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
- Persuasive communication skills and proven track record of closing deals
- Ability to foster teamwork. Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop customized solutions for prospective clients
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook skills.
