Job Posting for Construction Administration Architect at ZGF Architects

ZGF is seeking a Construction Administration Architect to join our Washington, DC office or work remotely in Charlottesville, VA. We are looking for self-directed individuals with excellent communication and technical skills.

As a Construction Administration Architect, you will…

  • Have strong technical knowledge of materials, means and methods.
  • Enforce design intent when reviewing RFIs and submittals and be sensitive to how these decisions impact on design concepts.
  • Oversee projects in construction and manage site visits, etc.
  • Use Revit and Bluebeam to keep construction documents updated.
  • Participate in OAC meetings.
  • Represent and support the owner and design team during construction phases.
  • Support and mentor project team members as necessary.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or related field recommended.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction and/or architecture. With at least 3 years’ experience focused on construction phases.
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam and Newforma.
  • Experience on all phases of design is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to support a collaborative teamwork environment.
