Zillow Group is looking for a dynamic HR Manager to join our Human Resources team supporting the rapidly growing Zillow Offers business. The position is located in Phoenix, but has regional HR leadership responsibilities. The HR Manager will be a strategic advisor to Zillow Offers executives, located in Arizona. This role reports to the HR Director located in Phoenix. In this role you will:
- Collaborate with executives, business leaders, and HR to establish HR plans and solutions to achieve strategic business results.
- Partner with leaders at multiple levels and their teams to develop and execute strategies that champion growth, innovation and organizational effectiveness. This includes crafting, building and implementing programs, processes and tools to help set managers and employees up for success.
- Assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas.
- Partner with business leadership to find opportunities to attract develop and retain people to achieve their fullest potential.
- Lead reorganizations with support of HR Specialist Teams.
- Coach and counsel managers on maintaining positive employee relations for a wide range of issues. This may include conducting investigations in response to Employee Relations issues and recommending/implementing courses of action based on results.
- Support the analysis and facilitation of leadership and cultural initiatives. Use influence and coaching skills to champion a culture that reflects our core values and leadership principles.
- Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
- Own the communication and rollout of HR programs and projects.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned which may include cross-team initiatives across all U.S. locations.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years of HR-related experience.
- Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment and navigate leaders through a variety of organizational changes.
- Demonstrated record of success working in a matrixed organizations with a variety of client groups (e.g. exempt and non-exempt, office and field-based, centralized and geographically distributed teams)
- Knowledge of employment law and HR policies, procedures, compliance and practices and experience in developing, executing and maintaining HR projects and programs.
- Shown ability to diagnose problems using critical thinking skills and drive appropriate solutions.
- Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills as well as excellent social and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated partnership working in an HR team that leverages corporate/specialized functions (e.g. Compensation, Recruiting, HR Systems, Learning & Development, etc.)
- Demonstrable ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Windows environment, including MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint), and report preparation.
- Experience with HCM systems (Workday) preferred.
- Able to handle workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
- Able to work both on a team (as member and/or leader) and independently to deliver results.
