About the role
You’ll be the sole PM to lead the data engineering efforts, working with fifteen engineers as well as partners from across our organization to set the roadmap and deliver Customer Data Platform solutions. This will require your team to use all the latest in data, infrastructure and CDP approaches. As a part of the team, you will:
- Define the vision and strategy for the Zillow Customer Data Platform aligned to overall organizational and business objectives
- Work with machine learning, user-facing product, analytics and business teams to understand business scenarios and requirements
- Partner with data engineers on your team to deliver compelling solutions that meet the data demands of end users and internal business needs
- Iterate quickly, test new ideas, and analyze results
Who you are
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Experience defining product vision and strategy
- Using a metrics driven product development approach
- Building product specifications, user scenarios, and preliminary concepts
- Experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver products
- Comfortable with quick iteration and experimentation
- Creative problem-solving skills, analytical thinker and passion for new technology
- Experience working with Customer Data Platforms: ideally a combination of in house, third party and open source solutions
- Experience with distributed computing, big data technologies and constructing knowledge graphs
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, agile and collaborative cross-team environment
- Experience with AWS technologies such as Kinesis, S3, EMR, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Presto or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred)
