Under minimal supervision, is responsible for expediting products through the various work centers consistent with promised shipping/surgery dates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates the procurement of the product and planning of the order.
- Is responsible for information tracking, including but not limited to, tracking numbers, inventory shortages, and special issues.
- Reconciles inventory discrepancies in a timely manner, assuring the completeness of customer orders and accuracy of electronic files.
- Resolves inventory pipeline issues and works with the appropriate individuals to assure inventory balances.
Expected Areas of Competence
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Exercises some decision-making authority, later verified by the Department Supervisor and advises the Department Supervisor, or designee, of transactions and/or special concerns on a daily basis.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- The ability to be on your feet for 4-6 hours per day.
Education/Experience Requirements
High School diploma or general education degree GED.
Experience with MAPICS II and AS/400 preferred.
Travel Requirements
Up to 5%
