The Role:
Zinkerz is currently seeking a Director of College Counseling. This role will center primarily around supporting and managing the college counseling team and the day-to-day logistics of managing a college counseling organization. A successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, a willingness to adapt, and a strong understanding of good customer service and counseling. Also, the role will aid students in their daily needs including scheduling, course recommendations, and overall support. In addition, a strong background in English and essay copy editing is a must.
Counseling Responsibilities:
- Create and send college counseling and general study proposals to students and families.
- Assist with the onboarding process: create and send new study plans and follow up to ensure they are scheduled.
- Communicate daily with parents and students via telephone, WhatsApp, SMS, email, and webchat.
- Be accessible to students and parents for education-related purposes outside normal business hours.
- Guide and track student progress, as well as update and modify students’ learning plans regularly.
- Help students fill basic student information into Common Apps
- Help draft high school resumes for college applications.
- Help register students for standardized exams (SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL) in their respective locations.
- Develop a relationship with college counseling students/clients to help them in their application process.
- Aid in copyediting and giving feedback on high school students’ college application essays.
- Draft monthly newsletter.
- Help with course scheduling and conflicts as needed.
- Communicate with all students about upcoming events and workshops.
- Travel Internationally to meet with clients.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Keeping up with a schedule, reminders about high priority tasks
- New tasks as required
- Establish rapport and maintain strong relationships with prospective/current students/parents.
Recommended Qualifications and Attributes:
Familiarity with Google Drive, Documents, and Sheets.
Extensive background in creative writing and copy editing
Positive attitude and cheerful demeanor
Flexible schedule
Ability to travel internationally

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
