The Recovery Support Coach position is dedicated to support nursing and counseling staff in day to day operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with client screening, admission, and discharge, orientation and assessment functions.
- Use electronic health records (EHR) system effectively and appropriately.
- Demonstrated proficiency in EHR sufficient to fulfill the duties required by this position is expected within 30 days of employment.
- Facilitate client orientation, educational and recreational groups.
- Collect and complete vital signs, urine screens, strip searches and accurately securing and documenting client inventory.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and stocked unit.
- Maintain client records and supply of documents on the unit.
- Ensure client rooms and beds are cleaned and turned over upon discharge of each client.
- Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed.
- Participate as needed in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.
- Assist with quality assurance quarterly reports (i.e., fire drills, safety inspections, building and vehicle reports, etc.)
- Meet with supervisor(s) on a monthly basis.
- Participate in medication supervision and surveillance through observing the community in all areas of the property, supervised urinalysis screening and in documenting events that need additional follow up.
- Perform regularly scheduled bed checks on 3rd shift (every half hour).
- Serve as a role model through positive, appropriate conduct and participation in special agency events.
- Project a professional image to the public. Dress in a professional manner.
- Maintain current CPR/FA certifications and CPI annual training.
- Transport clients as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
