Zions Bancorporation is currently hiring a Loan Workout Manager to join our Salt Lake City team. This position is eligible to work from home with a Hybrid work schedule (subject to periodic review).

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to:
Provides management and oversight of workout officers and special asset support staff. Manages the resolution function of adversely graded credits for the enterprise.

Responsible to ensure the reduction of classified and non-performing assets while minimizing loss and maximizing collection of amounts owed.

Works with staff and officers to reduce risk, better secure collateral, equity and other activities designed to preserve the loan principal and prevent loan charged offs.

Works with management on resolution strategies, provides insight into trends and directional expectation of classified portfolio, recoveries and loss estimates.

Ensures policies and procedures align with legal requirements and company objectives.

Ensures viable workout plans are in place on complex problem loans.

Approves transactions up to their approved limits and may participate in decisions above those limits.

Manages departmental budgets as assigned.

Develops, plans and implements practices and procedures to minimize loan charge offs from adversely-graded loans and to return such credits to performing status.

Coordinates with tax, legal, audit, credit/loan policy and regulatory officials as needed.

Provides recommendations to credit and other loan officers and staff about structuring and reviewing credits to reduce fundamental weakness in the company's credit/loan policies.

May directly manage a few significant problem loans.

Responsible for quarter-end reporting activity for Charge-offs, Non-Performing Assets and Impaired Loans. Approves renewals/restructures up to approved limit with concurrence of Line of Business.

Has authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.

Sr level may manage other managers.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business or other related field

4 years with commercial/RE/business lending, credit, loan workouts, loan structuring or other directly related experience.

Strong managerial experience required.

A combination of education and experience may meet requirements

Requires solid working knowledge of commercial, commercial real estate, small business, credit risk, credit analysis, loan restructuring, lending polices and regulations.

Ability to read and analyze financial statements and legal documents.

Ability to communicate with bank personnel, bank examiners and auditors.

Ability to work with management, legal, audit, credit/loan policy, regulatory and tax departments.

Solid analysis, budgeting, management, project management and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must be self-motivated and have ability to motivate others.

Able to prepare correspondence with clients and attorneys, compile and summarize data and present results to contacts internally and externally.

Ability to resolve complex and more sensitive credit related problems, clarify policies and procedures, which require the use of sensible judgment.

Working knowledge of collection law and practices.

Proven customer service and relationship management skills.

Solid negotiation and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
