ETO’s Branch, Card, and Retail Lending Solutions team is looking for a self-motivated QA Test Engineer that can build and maintain a comprehensive suite of automated test scripts. The successful candidate will work in an agile environment with developers, scrum leaders, product owners and other analysts to help maintain and provide support solutions for a number of the Bank’s retail systems. The Test Engineer will build technical designs and develop solutions to ensure adequate automated test coverage of the product suite that our team supports. In this role, you will:
- Work with the Product Owner and Product Manager to identify business functions that will benefit from test automation, then work to design an automation solution.
- Design, develop, execute and maintain suites of automated testing scripts. Our team uses automation to validate behavior on the front-end/UI, and also in our services/API backend.
- Maintain, enhance and refactor the test automation framework as needed.
- Review and analyze automation test results. Ensure test automation reporting functions as expected and provide necessary reporting and alerting.
- Participate in iteration planning, backlog refinement, and other Scrum team activities.
- Help with manual testing activities while the organization continues its migration to more test automation.
- Stay abreast of test automation improvements, industry trends, and other factors that enhance/improve test automation.
- Be responsible for various system management functions: incident, change, systems and project management.
- Be responsible to troubleshoot websites, applications, and user access issues.
- Document incident items and escalate as necessary.
- Perform application troubleshooting and make recommendations for improvements and changes.
- Work with vendors (where applicable) to report/resolve issues.
- Be responsible to facilitate new or enhanced change management requests and post change validations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field and 2 years of experience in test automation, business analysis, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks, etc. or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Working knowledge and experience with Java, Selenium, SOAP, SQL and Cucumber.
- Experience with database query tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with business systems/applications, incident/change management, project/systems management.
- Experience with system interfaces (file-based, web services, etc.).
- Knowledge of and experience resolving issues with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies preferred.
- Requires project management skills to be able to work in an environment of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid skillset for manual testing activities. This includes the ability to estimate test effort on user stories, create, manage, and execute test cases, and report testing progress.
- Ability to elicit, gather and analyze data.
- Strong attention to detail.

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
