Entry Level Territory Sales Representative
to join our industrial products team to service the Rochester / Syracuse area.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales within your assigned territory, establishing strong relationships with current and prospective clients, and positioning our comprehensive range of industrial products to meet their unique needs.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CNC machining, grinding, milling, EDM, heat treat, industrial tooling and supplies and how they apply to CNC or manual machining.
Knowledge of Punch / Die Manufacturing and Stamping processes. Ability to read and interpret CAD files / Prints.
Job Responsibilities
Quoting and selling Precision Machined Parts / Components for our in-house ISO 9001 : 2015 certified Machine Shop.
Quoting and selling industrial supplies such as tooling, abrasives, coolant, work holding instruments, etc.
Territory development with a focus on customer acquisition and retention.
Directly and indirectly working with the Sales Manager or current local Sales Rep when needed.
Collaborate with our Main office as well as our Vendors and their Reps to generate leads for new customers or orders.
Be willing to provide weekly call reports and check-ins to our Main Office or the Sales Manager.
Follow up on previous quotes, maintain relationships with customers, relay accurate information among parties.
Drive to various factories, machine shops, or businesses in your territory throughout the day for lead and sale generation.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and not discouraged from getting turned down repeatedly
Must have valid drivers license, clean driving record and automobile insurance (company vehicle not provided but car allowance and gas is).
Experienced in Microsoft Office software
Capacity to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability coordinate with customers and vendors, follow up on quotes, negotiate pricing and lead times
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent Listening skills with the ability to effectively exchange information accurately
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
