As Logistics Consultant, you will be responsible for managing either the customer operations or carrier capacity for Zipline's customers shipments.

All Logistics Consultants are placed on a cohesive team to work together to solve freight problems for our customers. Zipline offers a fast paced, fun and encouraging environment to help you to achieve your goals in this important specialist role.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Daily transaction and client solutions management :
  • Works directly with customers & carriers aiding in booking, scheduling, tracking, quoting and managing their shipments from beginning to end.
  • Client relationship management :
  • Assessing clients needs, advising on effective transportation solutions and alternatives, monitoring shipments, solving issues before they impact clients, organizing / analyzing / reporting information for clients to assist them in decision-making.
  • Generating new business :
  • Prospecting, qualifying, and making contact through phone and face-to-face meetings in our designated markets.

What you need to be successful :

  • College degree in any field is a plus, BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Experience in transportation or logistics industry also a plus, BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Experience in a customer service role, military, service, hospitality or retail industry
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Project and process management skills

Pay and Benefits

  • Total compensation is $32,500 - $34,000 annually with a bonus / commission component that starts after one month.
  • Total compensation once earning bonus / commission for 12 months is $42,400-$44,000
