We are looking for a Senior or Principal Program/Project Manager who wants to make an impact in a scaling company with big opportunities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Program/Project Manager at Zivid, you will manage company-wide initiatives and multiple cross-functional product development projects ensuring key success criteria are met in quality, schedule, performance, and cost. You will collaborate closely internally with project teams and team leads, as well as key suppliers and customers, and deliver reporting to Engineering and company leadership. The products you deliver will be industrial 3D sensor solutions with advanced mechanical and electronic hardware design, industry leading vision processing in firmware and software, high-performance optical subassemblies, and precision manufacturing, test and calibration.
As an experienced Program/Project Manager, you will employ and maintain management tools according to best practices in your field and adhere to, maintain, and extend quality management system processes related to project management to improve the company’s efficiency and standard of execution.
The role will report to the SVP of Engineering with key stakeholders being VP Product, VP Supply Chain and Engineering leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive initiatives and product development projects from concept to delivery.
- Work with diverse engineering disciplines in cross-functional teams and external resources, suppliers, and customers.
- Apply a holistic approach to new product development and introduction according to industry recognized methodologies.
- Plan, budget and scope programs and projects; Manage and mitigate risk; Deliver materials.
- Control, monitor and deliver projects according to quality, time, performance, and cost parameters ensuring project sponsors and stakeholders have clear visibility through reporting.
- Maintain project documentation and records according to our quality management system.
- Develop and communicate work packages and priorities with the project team and identify and manage internal and external dependencies.
- Manage customer and supplier relationships and communications ensuring relevant processes are executed, inbound and outbound quality requirements and contractual obligations are met.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or technology field.
- Formal qualifications in project management and/or business administration are a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with teams and individuals at all levels internally and externally.
- 5 or more years of experience with a demonstrated record as a Project or Program Manager, preferably in a Product development environment. Experience with camera, video or projector systems is beneficial.
- It is an advantage to have experience with, or demonstrate understanding of, New Product Development and Introduction (NPD/NPI/APQP), Project Management and Agile methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, CPM, Lean), Risk Management and Failure Mode Analysis methods (DFMEA, PFMEA), problem solving tools (e.g. 8D, CAPA, 5-whys, fishbone).
