What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Sales position at Zonar Systems?
Summary: To plan, organize, lead and manage all aspects of Zonar’s Sales efforts toward meeting and exceeding corporate sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop the annual Sales plan
- Approve/influence/design territory plans/assignments, quota deployment and sales compensation
- Develop and adhere to annual budget
- Build an effective sales organization by hiring top talent and coaching and developing toward excellence
- Drive the monthly forecast process across all vertical sellers and monitor progress
- Partner with the Vertical GMs on the vertical sales strategy execution
- Build strong cross-functional relationships by partnering to streamline decisions and execute flawlessly
- Responsible for sales effectiveness
- Driving sellers to master vertical solution offers
- Driving sales behavior regarding forecast discipline
- Driving sales behavior regarding CRM and territory maintenance
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account customers
- Implement process improvements to improve customer service
- Partner with marketing on sales campaigns, lead follow up and industry trade shows/field activities
- Coach/Lead sales managers and sellers on best practices and operational excellence
- Ensure/approve/influence deals to conform to Zonar deal guidelines, margin standards and terms
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to design an effective sales strategy in a multi-vertical, commercial SaaS business
- Proven leadership capabilities, mentor sellers, adhere to process and effectively utilize CRM
- Deep knowledge of and ability to transfer Sales Techniques
- Track record of consistently achieving quota
- Customer advocate within Zonar
- Ability to achieve scheduled deadlines
- Skilled in balancing competing priorities to achieve established/desired outcome
Education:
MBA preferred
