What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at Zones?
The Business Analyst role is a member of Zones' nterprise Project Support and Design Team. nterprise is a proprietary work order management software suite used by Zones and external stakeholders, such as customers and partners. The role reinforces nterprise usage and best practices throughout the company, including Project Management, Solutioning, Sales Support and Zones Technology Solution Centers. This may include product demonstrations, documentation, support, and training materials.
The position is a Hybrid work model – the successful candidate will need the capability to work remotely via Collaboration Tools with internal and external stakeholders, and to work in an office setting in either Albany, NY; Kent, WA; Carol Stream, IL; or Cerritos, CA. The team leadership is located in Albany, NY and most customers are located in North America and Europe, so the position would be expected to work primarily Eastern US hours, with the possibility of working alternate hours based on need.

The Business Analyst is primary responsible for:
- Meet with ITProject Managers on project delivery design and configuration within the nterprise application
- Meet with Technology Solutions Center Managers on nterprise configuration and usage
- Run internal company nterprise training sessions
- Present nterprise and other Zones technologies to Customers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor and triage the nterprise Support Queue
- Be active in defining new nterprise functionality
- Document current Standard Operating Procedures
- Document new features and enhancements
- Produce release notes for distribution to nterprise users
Education, Certifications, & Technology Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Strong ability to work with both business and technology stakeholders, and adapt communication to suit the audience
- The ability to understand the impact of technical changes and to articulate high-level technical solutions to address business problems
- Good listening skills, ability to ask questions and probe to uncover issues
- The proven ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- High level of energy and personal drive
- Solid experience to work in matrixed environments with multi-skilled teams
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
- Solid experience in work order management software and experience with IT Project Management Teams (or similar applications or teams)
- Possess intellectual curiosity, out of box thinking, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work/influence across multiple stakeholder groups
- The ability to absorb new concepts quickly
- Attention to detail
- Understanding & presenting to different types of audiences
- Understanding of Technology terminology including hardware, software, cabling, etc.
