About the Role
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of production employees ensuring that production delivery, quality, and cost metrics are met.
The Production Supervisor will focus on employee productivity, quality, safety, and training typically supervising a team of 30 75 employees.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Work Direction to the Extended Team
- Communicate overall priorities for the extended team to Team Leads based on :
- Ship date (day / week / month)
- Quantity of units
- Aged units
- Capacity
- Personnel Supervision
- Attendance / OT / PTO Execution
- Training Execution
- Staffing Execution
- Workload Balance
- Performance feedback to Manager
- Issue Resolution
- Manage / escalate issues impacting the extended team and communicate to :
- Peer supervisor(s)
- Manager
- Customer PM(s)
- NPI PM(s)
- Process Improvement / 5S Leadership
- Work with extended team to identify and execute process / tool improvements :
- Manager
- Manufacturing Engineering / Development Engineering
- Maintenance Team
What You Bring
- Associates degree in IT, or related discipline, and / or equivalent related work experience
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritize workload and possess excellent multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information and train / advise / lead line operators
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to simplify issues / direction and communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of employees.
- Ability to pull information together from numerous sources and consolidate it into a plan / direction for the organization.
