Zurich is currently hiring a Crop Procedure Writer to join the RCIS/Crop team! In this role, you will draft, edit, and format basic to complex Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) utilizing established standards and guidelines. You will utilize strong interpersonal communication and project management skills to collaborate and build trust with departmental subject matter experts(s). The Crop Procedure Writer will gather process and procedure details and translate that into a working SOP to be followed company-wide. As you expand your knowledge of crop insurance processes and demonstrate proficiencies in the areas below, you will advance your career as a Crop Procedure Writer. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Drafting, editing, and formatting basic to complex Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Researching and translating crop insurance procedural information.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting established deadlines.
- Conducting basic audience analysis and facilitating Subject Matter Expert (SME) information gathering sessions.
- Editing and/or reformatting procedural documents (to include customer correspondence and company forms) and ensuring documentation is in compliance with corporate standards.
- Following established guidelines for organization and design of work.
- Assisting with maintaining electronic document library or repository.
- Creating process flows and/or graphical technical presentations for others.
- Assisting with developing and delivering training materials to include PowerPoint presentations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the technical writing area
- 3 or more years of technical documentation and publication experience
- Process definition and documentation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent project/workload management, collaboration, & meeting facilitation skills
- Customer correspondence (letter-writing) and formatting skills
- Adobe Acrobat form creation/maintenance experience
- Microsoft Visio process flow experience
- Intermediate to expert Microsoft Word experience/skills; intermediate experience in other Microsoft O365 programs (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel)
- Team player and able to work collaboratively to create an inclusive team environment
- Ability to adapt to change and embrace new processes/procedures
