Project Estimator/ Planner

This position will report to the VP of Operations. He or she will be responsible for estimating larger piping and pressure vessel fabrication projects. Said projects may be shop fabrication, field installation or a combination of both shop and field. This individual will work directly with Operations to timely provide proposals and quotes to customers. Additionally, this position is instrumental in the proper planning and execution of awarded projects to include work scope development, job specific procedures and deployment.

Pre-requisites

· Ten (10) years of field and shop pipe and pressure vessel fabrication and installation

· Proven history of piping, pressure vessels and related projects (customer referrals will be required)

· Ability to facilitate shop drawings

Required Skills and Knowledge

· Working Knowledge and/or experience with:

o Pressure vessels, heat exchangers

o Repairing and installing industrial systems

o Boilers, pipe & related activities

o Piping and mechanical systems, including plant maintenance

o Written welding procedures / welding and qualifications

o Applicable codes, legislation and requirements

· Full understanding of:

o Quality Systems and planning/execution

o Written welding procedures (WPS, PQR, WPQs)

o Carbon and stainless pipe and tube fabrication

o Ox/fuel Operations (Burning, Brazing and Heating)

o Facilitating shop drawings

· Application of the following:

o ASME Section I

o ASME Section V

o ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and 2

o ASME Section IX

o ASME B 31.1

o NBIC

o AWS D1.1

o ASNT-TC-1A

o API

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
