Procurement Cost Analyst

We are currently seeking a Procurement Cost Analyst to bring visibility into the cost components of our product pipeline at all stages of development, from seed to commercial manufacturing, which will inform the organization's corporate strategy and portfolio makeup.

Job Description and Specific Responsibilities

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather and understand products and processes to reach consensus about assumptions, variables, and calculation methods.
• Create financial models with multiple scenarios based on different process and market hypothesis, projected volumes, process performance, and materials and services cost.
• Work closely with Finance to drive financial forecasting and generate financial models to feed into corporate budgets
• Analyze historical results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and work closely with Project Management, Global Sourcing, Development, and Operations to propose opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools.

Qualifications/Experience

• BA/BS in technical or business related fields. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA/MS degree are a plus.
• 5-8 plus years of experience in finance control in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic priorities and demands.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Experience managing and maintaining positive relationships under a demanding environment.
• Proven capacity to work from detail into summary and be proficient at presenting at different levels of granularity to leadership.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning, and analytical skills.
• A background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is considered an asset.
