Staff Accountant - Philippines

Position Overview

• Staff Accountant will take a lead role in month-end reconciliations and the Philippines location month-end close process, including recording journal entries and account reconciliations including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Staff Accountant will assist with tax and compliance matters.
• Staff Accountant to lead the weekly reconciliation of the U.S. based main checking account.

Position Responsibilities

• Performs month-end closing activities including posting journal entries and preparing accounts reconciliations.
• Prepare and assist with tax filings and month end reconciliation under the oversight of the U.S. Tax Manager.
• Weekly reconcile and communicate unrecorded transactions on the U.S. based main checking account.
• Assist with preparation of year-end accounting information.
• Assist with preparation of materials for financial, regulatory and tax audits.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor or Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in an Accounting role.
• Work hours to be determined, but flexibility to meet with U.S. based managers as needed.
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
• Above average technical skills in Excel.
• Experienced in Sage Intact or similar general ledger system.
• Self starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with proven accuracy dealing with financial data.
• Reliable and motivated to perform the job accurately and in a timely fashion.
