Position Overview
- Staff Accountant will take a lead role in month-end reconciliations and the Philippines location month-end close process, including recording journal entries and account reconciliations including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals.
- Staff Accountant will assist with tax and compliance matters.
- Staff Accountant to lead the weekly reconciliation of the U.S. based main checking account.
Position Responsibilities
- Performs month-end closing activities including posting journal entries and preparing accounts reconciliations.
- Prepare and assist with tax filings and month end reconciliation under the oversight of the U.S. Tax Manager.
- Weekly reconcile and communicate unrecorded transactions on the U.S. based main checking account.
- Assist with preparation of year-end accounting information.
- Assist with preparation of materials for financial, regulatory and tax audits.

- Improves processes within their area, identifies non-value added work and seeks alternative solutions.
- Supports change and shows ability to align in support of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor or Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in an Accounting role.
- Work hours to be determined, but flexibility to meet with U.S. based managers as needed.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Above average technical skills in Excel.
- Experienced in Sage Intact or similar general ledger system.
- Self starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with proven accuracy dealing with financial data.
- Reliable and motivated to perform the job accurately and in a timely fashion.
