Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a EHS Engineer.
What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position supports environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. Individual is accountable for:
Supporting EHS&S activities at Eaton Engine Valve Aguascalientes manufacturing site, including: establishing EHS&S objectives and targets, maintaining EHS systems and processes such as monitoring and measurement systems, reporting and communication of EHS metrics, collection and organization of EHS action items, supporting EHS training initiatives, leading and supporting EHS teams, lead / supports incident investigations, and supports site internal & external assessment activities and ISO/OHSAS/IATF/Voluntary certifications, communication of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; support interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions;
Support actions during crises; site security; ensuring documents are available in the local languages. Supporting the creation of a strong EHS & Quality culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS
teams and processes. #LI-DG2

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum (2) years of previous automotive industry experience in a similar position or directly related
to EHS&S processes.
Knowledge in occupational safety, industrial hygiene and environmental.
Experience in manufacturing processes. Automotive (preferred)
Bachelor´s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree two (2) or progression towards four (4) year degree in chemistry sciences or
engineering or technical field.
Drive for results and willing to learn continuously.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to synthesis and analysis, logical and abstract reasoning and observational ability.
Ability to identify Eaton, industry, federal, state, and local EHS requirements; and customer
requirements.
Ability to integrate EHS with other functions
Ability to facilitate EHS teams.
Ability to act as an agent of change. Effective in enabling and driving change
Ability to execute multiple activities.
Ability to utilize company-wide system for reporting EHS data and information.
Ability to conduct training.
Delivering all communication with clarity, impact and passion, and adapted to the audience.
Proficiency in local languages and english.
