(May 15, 2017) – Supporting a year of strong growth (see Q1 2017 momentum release here), Salary.com, the leader in compensation data, software and services, announces the appointment of Alys Reynders Scott as Chief Marketing Officer. With more than 20 years in the software sector, the most recent decade working directly within the compensation and expanded talent management arena, Scott joins the Company with a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, fast-changing industry dynamics and the human resources customer base.
“At Salary.com, we keep the interests of our customers at the core of our strategy, and that philosophy informs all of our key decision-making. I am delighted that Aly is joining our management team. Her knowledge of our customers – their pain points, objectives and opportunities – is essential to our business growth and to the important partnerships with our expanding worldwide customer base that support it,” said Kent Plunkett, CEO and founder of Salary.com. “With a strong enduring brand and the launch of our industry-leading UX and technology platform, we are penetrating new markets and building our base rapidly. It is the perfect time to bring on marketing expertise to accelerate sales support and revenue growth, to further define and drive our brand promise in the market and to maintain and build customer relationships, old and new.”

The company is commitment to continuously delivering an unmatched technology platform and user experience, and has expanded its development team with 60 additional engineers globally.
Scott joins Salary.com after nine years with PeopleFluent, a leading worldwide SaaS provider of talent management solutions, where she was SVP and Chief Marketing Officer. During her tenure with the business, revenue grew from $15 million to $120 million through acquisition and double digit organic growth every year. In her role, she drove product positioning and marketing, working closely with industry analysts, and built go-to-market, vertical market, digital marketing, customer and partnership success strategies in support of bookings growth. Prior to PeopleFluent, Scott served in senior management roles at Geac, International Data Group, Miller Shandwick and JWP. She has experience in new company launch, pre-IPO and international public company business strategies and has led functional groups across marketing, customer success, corporate communications and investor relations. Scott began her career in advertising in New York, working for Wells, Rich Greene and Young and Rubicam.
“The passion of a smart, customer-focused founding management team is an incredibly strong advantage for this business. They have hit the ground running since acquisition, and that is evident in the rich technology offering, 96 percent customer satisfaction ratings and a palpably motivated and engaged employee base,” said Scott. “This is a really exciting time to join a business I have known and watched for years. The opportunity to work with this great team and to market a highly differentiated product suite in a market I know and love is very exciting.”
Scott is based in the Waltham Headquarters and will report to the CEO.
