What are the requirements to become an oncologist?

To become an oncologist, you‘ll need to complete a bachelor‘s degree, followed by four years of medical school. After medical school, you‘ll complete a residency program in internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in oncology. Oncologists must also obtain a state medical license and pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
