Overview: To provide excellent guest service through deli department activities. Responsibilities: 1. Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests. 2. Perform assigned duties in what can be a fast paced work environment while interacting with guests and team members. 3. Ability to explain Product available in specific area (ingredients, flavors, menu items). 4. Actively provide samples to guests and explain offering as needed. 5. Efficiently prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing and cooking). 6. Maintain product level, quality and freshness according to station guidelines. 7. Position Summary: Assist educator with the implementation of the Winter Break Science Camp Program. Prepare and clean-up materials such as science supplies and craft utensils. Assist educator by leading small groups of campers in explorations in the GreenSchool and NYBG gardens as well as outdoor games and science investigations for up to 18 campers under the supervision of the educator. Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and helps to build and maintain an inclusive organization culture throughout the institution.
