Works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to fill prescriptions, Delivers orders and performs other pharmacy duties as required. MINIMUM Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program or at least one year of training as a Pharmacy Technician or a Foreign Pharmacy candidate. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience with IV mixtures and unit dose drug distribution. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Proficient computer skills and ability to type 30 words per minute. Good writing and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English. REQUIRED LICENSES, Certificates, Registrations: Pharmacy Technician License.

Basic Qualifications * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico) * Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Preferred Qualifications * Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. * Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens. * Prefer good math skills so they can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications. * Prefer good computer skills. * Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control. * Prefer PTCB or ExCPT certification.
