The Director of Medical/Surgical Services is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care provided to our PCU, Surgical, Medical, Observation and Swing patients. The Director accepts ownership of own work and is responsible to the Chief Nursing Officer. The director plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates care and staffing for the patient care units. The Director will have a clinical coordinator to assist with daily operations and achievement of directives. Evaluation of staffing includes planning for the next shift. Responsible for developing strategic goals for the service line as well as fiscal year business plans required to achieve such goals.
