Established in 1981 by three friends, Big D Metalworks is an employee-owned company. Our commitment to delivering a quality product and sustaining the highest customer satisfaction levels can be seen in all aspects of our company. In-house project management teams work directly with the client, architect and contractor. Team members work directly with an independent engineering firm and our own highly skilled craftsman. This daily contact ensures that no detail is overlooked and budget and delivery are on schedule. In 2009, Big D Metalworks built a 6,000 square-foot headquarters and training facility across the street from its original site, where the 15,000 square-foot manufacturing facility still exists. It is here that our experienced craftsmen fabricate each project to exacting design tolerances. With an average seniority of 12 years, our craft labor force is very experienced in meeting our customers' quality expectations. Ongoing education is essential to our continued success. Big D Metalworks requires continuing education for all of its project management team and craftsmen must complete quarterly training modules. As a responsible member of the business community Big D Metalworks maintains membership in the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), US Chamber of Commerce, National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association (NOMMA), and TEXO.
