Gardner Floor Covering is the oldest floorcovering business in the Lane County. The company was founded by Ed Gardner in 1941 sharing a space at 8th & Pearl Streets with Brighter Homes Electric and Al Reddig Painting. Originally Gardner sold and installed only hard surface flooring. In 1951 the company moved to its current location, 764 Lincoln Street in downtown Eugene. Don Siegmund joined the firm in 1955 and in 1971 it was purchased by Don and Cathy Siegmund. Their sons Scott and Matt later joined the business. Today, Gardner continues to be a locally owned, family operated business serving other families & businesses in Lane County and beyond.
