Halo Burger is one of the oldest hamburger chains in the United States and originated in Flint, MI way back in 1923. Originally called Kewpee, the company served its first hamburger out of a "boxcar" style wagon on Harrison St. in Downtown flint. There, we created the world's first "deluxe" hamburger, made with 100% fresh, never-frozen beef, pressed on a searing hot grill to give it just the right amount of char. Then we top it with fresh cut tomatoes, lettuce and mayonnaise. That's one deluxe burger! Now you can get our burgers with "the works", adding mustard, ketchup, pickles and onions to the deluxe preparation. This is the burger you used to get in your backyard when your parents had 4th of July parties. It's big, it's juicy, it's loaded with all these awesome toppings, and it's made just for you! We're also known for our world famous Olive Burger, which has remained a favorite for generations. Couple this with our signature Boston Cooler and you'll get the true Halo Burger experience. We love to use local flavors like Vernors® Ginger Ale, and our customers love it, too. Halo Burger not only serves up award winning burgers, we also employ about 400 people in Southeast Michigan! Born and raised in Michigan, we value our traditions and are committed to our people. Above and beyond all else, we're in the business of people. So stop in, sit back, and enjoy a little bit of heaven on Earth. We've been serving it up to Michiganders and visitors just like you for over 90 years.
