He is also trained in the fitting and management of specialty contact lenses, pediatric care, and surgical co-management. Dr. Dearing completed multiple externships throughout his education, including a large ophthalmology sub-specialty clinic in Phoenix, AZ, an Indian Health Hospital in Santa Fe, NM, and a private practice in Seattle, WA. Dr. Dearing is certified by both the Oregon and California Boards of Optometry. He holds certifications in injectable, oral, and topical pharmaceutical agents. He is a member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, American Optometric Association, and Beta-Sigma-Kappa optometric honor society.
